This epiphytic plant with delicate foliage has very soft, pubescent rhizomes, hence its name "rabbit's foot." When hung, the drooping shape of its rhizomes is highlighted. This makes this fern unique! This plant is ideal for impatient gardeners who love ferns, as it grows quickly and forgives neglected watering. If the fronds turn yellow and dry, it may be caused by a lack of water, too much light, or drafts.
Non-toxic to animals.
Family: Davalliaceae.
Origin: Tropical Asia and Fiji.
Watering: Prefers to be watered.
Allow the soil to dry out between waterings.
Humidity: High.
Mist the foliage and rhizomes, especially in winter when heating tends to dry out the air.
Soil Type: Light and rich.
In its natural habitat, epiphytic plants cling to various surfaces, such as wood or rock. This fern prefers less frequent repotting to avoid disturbing the roots.
Light Requirements: Moderate.
Orientation: North, East, West.
Growth: Fast.
Temperature: Warm, avoid drafts.
