The soldier fly larva is the insect containing the most calcium available in Canada. This larva is easy to maintain and feed. The Ca:P ratio can vary depending on the food offered to the larvae but remains relatively high compared to the others insects available.
Excellent for growing babies, not forgetting that it is a very good choice for females during the laying period. Always on the move, it is adored by reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, fish and birds.
With its maximum size of 3/4 inch it is easily stored, just by placing the purchased container at a temperature of 12 to 15 C.
Depending on the size of the worm, it remains dormant for between 1 and 4 weeks. To serve the worms, simply return them to room temperature at home until they wake up and then serve.
