Its inherent fungicidal properties also help fight odor, fungal growth, and mite infestation in the terrarium. Use as snake bedding or as a wet habitat for amphibians, such as frogs and salamanders. Supplementing a tropical or humid terrarium with a thin layer of golden sphagnum moss will maintain humidity and make cleaning easier.
